Outlaw Star: El Dorado Covered with Clouds

Now being released to the public for the first time, this is a partial translation of one of the Outlaw Star light novels. It takes place during the events of the anime but as more of a side story, told from Gene’s perspective. Confusingly, El Dorado here is the name of the story’s location, where Gene and his friends have gone to hunt down a notorious criminal called Billy McLaughlin.

Contrary to the old English cover image I made years back which I added above, all of the credit for this translation should go to Haku and Zemekis. In the end I didn’t play much of a role at all in this project beyond helping to finance it. Haku provided a fantastic translation which Zemekis made any necessary edits to. They really went above and beyond here, and it’s a pity that only four chapters were translated. Nevertheless, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. A must-read for any big Outlaw Star fan.
